Verify Customer Authentication API

In this API call we will provide you some customer authentication questions to authenticate the customer at CIBIL’s end. For that the customer has to pass any one type of authentication.

POST /api/v2/experian/cibil/<credit_report_uuid>/verify/

There are typically two types of authentication:

One Time Password Verification :

In this format of authentication the customer has to authenticate himself/herself by providing One Time Password provided to them by CIBIL. This Verification process can go up to two different types.
  • 1. OTP Verification in Primary number and/or primary Email ID :
    

    In this case the OTP will be triggered by CIBIL in the primary number and/or primary Email ID.

  • 2. OTP Verification in Alternate Number :
    

    In this case the OTP could not be delivered to the primary number and/or Email ID then CIBIL will ask for an alternate number. Once the customer’s alternate number is sent then CIBIL will send the OTP to the alternate number. Then by providing the OTP, the customer will verify themselves.

Credit Report Questions :

It is a step which comes when the customer fails to authenticate themselves by providing the OTP. Then the customer has to answer credit report related questions in order to get the cibil credit report.
